I’m looking for some advice on the appropriate transition in feeding for Egyptian Maus at 1 year old. My little guys have been getting two cans of Purina Pro Plan kitten food in the morning and two cans in in the evening. They also have full access to Royal Canin Kitten Kibble throughout the day. This is what their breeder recommended. I know their needs are changing (they often do not finish their canned food) and I know it’s time to adjust what and how much they eat.

Can anyone recommend brands and amounts that they should be fed? (The internet is FULL of suggestions, many of which seem contradictory, so I’m looking for any help other Mau owners have experienced). I am grateful for any recommendations.

Hi Jim, Have you asked the breeder you got the cats from they may be able to advise you. We just started feeding our two on Bozita cat food it comes in a lot of varieties and also Taste of the wild dry food to graze on hope this helps.

Regrettably, the breeder has not been readily able to communicate for the past few months. I appreciate your help.

I wasn't aware there were clubs for Mau Owners, though it seems a terrific idea. I'll look into that. Thank you.
